Observe & Trade

From my previous post, I show the QQQQ chart which is identical to NQ e-mini futures stating that it is better to stay on the sideline for the market is in idle mode.

But as can be seen from this chart concluding the whole trading day was a different story.

It rallies at the last hour, meaning watching the whole market up to completion can make a "miracle"?

That means in trading, having to wait at the last hour makes a difference.

Observe & Trade

A choppy trading day today, Friday.

The market was affected by the negative jobless report and went down in the open and stay idle as shown from this 5-min. chart from QQQQ.

In this kind of chart pattern especially it's Friday, the only way is to stay on the sideline in order not to get chopped off.

The market was on a roll the past two days, and today most if not all, traders will take the profit.

That's normal in the market. Friday is the take home pay.

In this unpredictable market, holding your winnings is not guaranteed.

Short term trading is the order now in the market.

Observe & Trade

As observed, these similar pattern can be traded at the same time.

DIA and SPY etf's can relate to the e-minis of YM and ES.

Notice the similarity of the pattern, they are almost or exactly identical.

They move mostly at the same time.

Trading them together especially today in the e-minis can make you a nice return.

That's why it is better to trade the futures than the individual stocks due to number of instruments to be monitored.

Tracking just the YM, ES or the NQ is more advantageous than tracking hundreds or thousands of stocks.

Observe & Trade

As observed, same scenario of the process of trading from yesterday's post.

Buying at the open can make a nice profit.

As can be seen from yesterday's 5-min. chart, after it skyrocketed in the open, it lies flat at 742.50 points.

Buying today at that same point is the right entry.

Observe & Trade

A vertical leap from Russell 2000 as shown from this 5-min. chart.

If you look at yesterday's pattern, it's almost flat.

But today, due to some positive news, it skyrocketed.

If you anticipated the good news and bought early in the open, you can make a nice paycheck today.

Trading is about timing, watching, sitting, anticipating, persevering, observing, and locating the right "thing" (entry and exit).

Observe & Trade

The market was down and the only viable trade I can observe from the four e-minis I track is the Russell 2000, TF.

From this 5-min. chart, you can make a trade in the mid-trading day as shown.

Looks like a low risk trade considering how volatile is the market.

The other three e-minis are so volatile, YM; ES; and the NQ.

Observe & Trade

Showing a 5-min. chart from QQQQ that can relate to e-mini NQ.

In here, you can place two low risk trade.

From the opening, you can put a short trade due to the negative news coming from overseas.

And after settling down with the trader's indecision, you can enter on long trade in the closing hour as shown.

That's trading, it is about waiting!

Observe & Trade

Reacting to negative news today and shorting the market in the opening makes a nice quick paycheck.

Like this 5-min. chart from DJ-30 which is identical to YM in the e-minis.

Taking trade by just observing the market is better that analyzing.

Trade what you see as they say.

The e-mini futures

Trading is all about finding the right niche based from one's individual skill.

It's all about where you're comfortable with.

It's about finding the right approach where your mind or intelligence fit.

There are many ways to explore the stock market but one has to find it's own way where they're suitable for.

It has a lot of considerations, i.e., like the time; (learning) skills and knowledge; capital; and the commitment of course.

But it all comes to what market has to be traded.

Comparing individual stocks; etf's or the futures especially the e-minis.

As for individual who trades by themselves (especially those at home) it is preferable to trade the e-minis.

In the e-minis, you just have to tracked the main four core of the market and if you want, just one market.

These are the S&P (ES); the Dow which is the YM; the Nasdaq (NQ) and the Russell which is the TF.

Selecting one of these four and mastering one market is the right approach as compared with the individual stocks or etf's.

Keep trading

As experienced the system or the process of trading, one has to work on him/her self the "mind aspect" of any aspiring individual (in trading) to make a good successful trade.

And what are these mind effect or aspects?

I think they are the ones trader's "mind/thinking" during the trading scenario.

Like the trader's emotion - one has to learn to wait and find the right approach in putting a trade. This is hard, but that is trading is all about. Waiting for the right timing and spotting the right location that has a potential to make a gain.

It takes time to psyche oneself in trading, but the desire to make a good trade should be there always. It cannot be done in days or months, and possibly in years.

But I think and I'm sure it can be done!

It's just a matter of "keep" trying.

Observe & Trade

A smooth long trade as observed from this 3-min chart from Russell 2000 in relation to e-mini TF futures.

Absence of pros in the market at this holiday can make a good trade.

Less noise, nice profit!

Observe & Trade

The market went on a vertical leap today due to some positive reports.

And also the pros are out for the holiday and the real buyers are there to look for a bargain and went on a "shopping" spree.

This 5-min. chart shown is from QQQQ, aka NQ from the e-mini.

Taking the early buy from the opening can make you a decent profit without any problem with the volatility.

Timing the market is a must!

Observe & Trade

Taking this 3-min. chart from Russell 2000 that can be relayed to e-mini futures TF.

This is a long trade.

Notice the base at 716.00 level and the 20 ema intersection.

This confirms that you can enter at that level with a close stop below.

Observe & Trade

The market was down again today due to negative news coming form Europe and the tension in the Korean peninsula

But for us, traders, we don't care what's the news.

We care only the charts that unfolds every trading day.

We are always looking for an opportunity based from our observation.

Like this chart from QQQQ that can relate to e-mini futures NQ.

It's a low risk short trade.

Observe & Trade

The market was down today and showing in here on a 5-min. chart the DIA etf that can relate to YM e-mini futures.

There are two possible low risk short trade here as can be observed.

The descending 20 ema can be based as the confirmation and also by just examining the trading scenario as it unfolds.

Trading is a matter of observing the market movement.

And from there you can base your right entry.

Just take a look at this chart and see how it can easily? make a trade!

Observe & Trade

Showing this 5-min. chart from QQQQ that can be applied in the e-mini futures market NQ.

The market was down from the previous trading day and when it opened the next day, it formed a base below the pivot indicating it has already retraced and ready to pop up.

As can be seen, it bounces from the pivot and remain idle for a couple of hours until it offers an opening for an idealized trade at around 1:00 pm.

Taking a few cents and having a patience in waiting for an opportunity pays off.

This observation can be applied in trading the e-mini futures market.

Observe & Trade

The market is on the downside and this 5-min. chart from Nasdaq QQQQ can be applied to trade the e-mini futures NQ which has the same formation.

A short trade is shown as a basis for our Observe & Trade initiation.

As observed

As I tracked the e-mini futures market and observing the four core market in the industry, I have been noticing lately that the Nasdaq market is a little bit smooth on its movement as compared with the S&P, the Dow and the Russell.

Showing in here is the chart 5-minute chart from the QQQQ which is almost identical with the e-mini nasdaq (NQ).

As can be seen from its downside movement last Friday, it drops smoothly.

You can easily shorted it from the e-mini as it is.

The Russell (TF) in the e-mini futures market is a little bit volatile together with the S&P (ES) which is where the pros are fully concentrated.

While the e-mini Dow (YM) is also good to trade especially for the neophytes, but its quite volatile too.

I prefer to trade the NQ as compared with the mentioned above.

Long Lasting Success Requires Controlling Stress | Prudent Trader

Long Lasting Success Requires Controlling Stress Prudent Trader

As I observed!

Showing a trading ideas from the Dow chart last Friday.

There are two possible low risk short trade that I observed as shown from the elliptical shaded area.

Notice the 20MA is on the downside trend. That's a plus side in confirming to put a short trade.

Trading is a process of observing and finding ideas to get involved.
